The Opportunities feature in Valkre was been updated to not require association to an Initiative to increase flexibility and reduce clicks required to create an Initiative. NOTE: there is no change to the functionality within an Initiative...an Initiative Owner can create / view Opportunities just as before.
With this release, an Opportunity is not required to be associated to an Initiative. This opens up a few possibilities.
Within Valkre, a User can switch the Initiative an Opportunity is associated to
Within Valkre, a User can create an Opportunity (if allowed) and optionally not associate to an Initiative
- Via Integration, Opportunities can be added to Valkre without being associated to an Initiative...and then a User could map the Initiative / Opportunity relationship within Valkre. This would provide full visibility to the CRM Opportunity pipeline no matter if it is connected to Account Planning or not.
This update also sets the foundation for future enhancements to Opportunity Management in Valkre.
