For those who like to view, edit, and manage data across many customers, it can be helpful to group customers into different 'Portfolios'. Examples of Portfolios might be:
- My Customers
- My Team's Customers
- Sally Jones's Customers
- Clarke Global Account that is made of of many 'customers'
- West Territory Customers
- Manufacturing in Europe Customers
There are many different ways of how individuals like to group Customers. To help with this, Valkre now allows individual Users to create their own 'Portfolios' to improve management effectiveness and increase personal productivity.
Let's walk through a a few examples.
On your Customers Summary page, you traditionally had a list of all Customers you can see and some various KPIs to monitor in the for of widgets. In previous versions there was a set of filters at the top of the screen. Based on feedback from the Valkre User Community, there was a need to save these combinations of filters so that the Customers Summary and related dashboards would 'remember' them.
In the above picture, you can see by default there is a tab now called 'All' which will show you information for All Customers you can see. Next to it is a tab with a 'plus' sign that you can use to create a Portfolio of Customers that is more specific than 'All'.
Clicking on the 'plus' tab takes you to your Summary Settings screen where you can create Portfolios. Each Portfolio has a name so you can easily identify it. Within the Portfolio, you can add filters:
- Meets ALL : Customers must meet these conditions to be included
- Meets ANY: Customers need to have at least of one of these conditions to be include
Here is an example of a Portfolio called 'My Customers' where I (Brian) have one filter where I am the Owner of the Customers.
Once I save the Portfolio, it will be available to me on my home page forever (until I decide to delete it) each time I log in.
You can create as many Portfolios as you would like. You can reorder them or delete them when you are done with them. NOTE: These Portfolios are specific to you as a User. What you do does not impact any other User's experience.
This feature is meant to support many types of Use Cases. Below are examples of other combinations of filters you might employ to create the Portfolio of Customers you would like to see:
My Team's Customers
If I want to manage articular team of Customer Owners I can use the 'Any' filter to say show me any Customers where the Owner is either one of these individuals:
Jerry Alderman's Customers
Ahead of a 1:1 with a particular Customer Owner, I might want to create a filter specific to an individual with a simple ALL filter.
Mega Global Account that is made of of many 'customers'
Sometimes there are Accounts very large that make up multiple 'customers'. I could use the 'ANY' filter to show any Customers in the list.
European Customers
Classifications are available to use as filters. In this case, I want to see 'All' Customers that are in Europe
Manufacturing in Europe Customers
You can combine Classification filters for a more specific Portfolio. For example, I want to see all Customers who are Manufacturers and based in Europe.
Once you have your different Portfolios set up, each time you log in, the filter of the information that make you the most effective and efficient is there on your home page.
