More Control over User Access & Streamlined User Onboarding Experience
Most significantly for Admins in this release is an update on how User Access is controlled.
- Each User now has a 'flag' on the User Record that governs if that User can access Valkre.
- All Users must have 'Access' be TRUE in order to access the system.
- Upon release, any User that has either logged in and/or been invited to Valkre will have the Access flag set to TRUE. Any User that has not been invited with have the Access flag set to FALSE.
- Users with Access set to FALSE will still appear in Valkre User Dropdown Lists...providing Users with the ability to document accountability for with with their Customers, but
Admins can toggle the Access Flag for a User on their User Profile.
Admins can also view Users who do not have Access under the User Network: Last Login Status page
So why this change? Aside from clearer control on which Users have access or not, it allows the User Onboarding Experience for SSO and Salesforce Users to be much simpler: no more Invite emails!
- SSO and Salesforce Users no longer need to click on the link in an Invitation email for Valkre access! Admins can simply add them to Valkre and ensure their Access is set to 'TRUE'.
- Users that log into Valkre with a Valkre Username and Password are still required to receive an email to set up their account and set up a Password
- All Users must have Access = TRUE to access Valkre
When adding Users, Admins will have the option to set Access = True and/or Kick of the Set Up Password workflow. SSO and Salesforce Users do not need the Set Up Password anymore.
Custom Labels for External and Extended IDs
Admins can now set the External and Extended IDs for CRM Objects such as Customers, Locations, and Stakeholders. For example, External ID is often the Salesforce Record ID...you can be clear on what this ID represents.
Only Admins can updated Customer External and Extended IDs
To ensure Integration quality, Customer External and Extended IDs are now read only under Customer Settings except for Admins.
User / Customer Assignments View
Admins can quickly scan and export User Permissions for each Customer under Settings -> Users -> Customer User Assignments. This information can also be exported to Excel for further analysis.
User Notification Defaults
Admins can specify if they would like new Users (or reactivated ones) to have their Notifications on by default.
