To assist Teams who leverage Valkre to align on and project Financial Planning Metrics such as Sales, Share, and Available Market, a new feature is available to simplify the creation of Financial Plans.
The Financial Planning Landscape feature is essentially a matrix that helps define the Financial Scope of a given Customer. This matrix features mapping your Product Lines to the Customer's Buying Centers.
The Financial Planning Landscape View will be automatically populated by the active Product Lines and Buying Centers associated with this Customer. This eliminates the need to select a Product Line and Buying Center when a Financial Plan is created.
For Admin, be sure to add the Product Lines to the Customer Type in Settings. From there, users can add the products to their specific customers.
To manage Buying Centers associated to the Account, navigate to the 'Locations' section.. You can choose which Locations should be designated as a Buying Center. This functionality has not changed. However, to simplify the Financial Planning process, Regions are now associated to a Location. This eliminates the need to select a Region for every Financial Plan created.
Back to the Product Landscape Feature. This feature can be accessed from the Financial Plan Dashboard through the 'Landscape' widget. This widget helps provide content for the Financial Plan by showing which Product Lines and Buying Centers are reflected in the Financials displayed. Clicking on the Widget Label will bring you to the Landscape View.
The Landscape View is now the way new Financial Plans are created. By clicking on one of the boxes at the intersection of a Product Line and Buying Center, you will be taken to a place to edit the Financial Plan.
Editing the Financial Plan has not changed in this release, but rest assured more improvements are coming quickly to save time managing these Financials.
The Landscape View can also we used to quickly see what information has been entered. By changing the 'Year' and 'Show' controls on the Top Left of the Landscape views, you can quickly see the data that has been loaded.
